i’m starting a brand new tall propagandize in eighth month similar to for 9th grade. should i make use of a jansport trek or an abercrombi/ae/hollister tote? i’ve regularly carried a trek so i’m not certain if a totes have been comfortable. opinions?
Review and Discussion for Different Types of Backpacks
well i was a freshman last year and i started off with a back pack and then i switched to a tote. it looks a lot more stylish than an ordinary back pack and you will see A LOT of upperclassmen girls with totes. you get used to the feel of a tote after a while.
so i’d suggest you go with the tote.
but a warning. if u get ur tote from hollister/abercrombie/ae chances are, that someone else in school will have the same exact tote. scratch that. a lot of people will have the same tote. trust me, ive seen this happen to a few of my friends. but if you dont care, then go right ahead and use that hollister tote.
I carry a tote to school and not only does it look cuter, in my opinion, it’s a lot more convenient. And easier to carry.
i ALWAYS use totes for school…totes arent bulky and they dont take up a lot of room…go for a cute tote

carrry a tote! i carry one too, and its really cute, looks good with outfits, and is very comfortable. Just make sure the tote is big enough for all your pencils papers etc.
i switch back and forth. i have a lot of totes and one backpack.
so yaa, just keep both and switch whenever you feel like it.
i like totes better they are cuter more stylish and they are comfortable and dont take up a lot of space
Definitely a tote. I mean, style wise, they are waaay better. And they aren’t uncomfortable unless you try and cram too much stuff in it.
A BACKPACK!
Once upon a time last year, I gave into the tote temptation because they were just "oh so cute," but I had to switch after 2 months.
Firstly, there’s less room in there, which can make it look buldgy, and secondly, its a shoulder-killer.
No one really pays much attention to the bags either way, they mostly focus on the outfit, so I’d go backpack.

totes are probably cuter but they are definitly not comfortable, especially if you are carrying like anything more then two books
i tried it for a couple weeks and my shoulder was killing me, it cant be good for your posture
bookbags can be cute too, especially the l.l. bean ones(i hav a red one), jansport has some cute ones too(i hav a white courderoy one) ^-^

It really depends on your course load. If you have a lot of courses with large texts (AP Global has three at my school) and a day where you have to bring a lot of them, get a backpack. Style is irrelevant!!
I personally have tons of totes, and two book bags. I don’t have a locker, so I pretty much take my life with me. On gym days, I bring my backpack…or a larger tote..to fit my clothes and if I’m wearing sandals..my sneakers as well.
On days when I don’t need many books, any bag will do. Bags can be a lot of fun, just shop around and don’t assume the clostliest one is the best. Get the one’s that suits your needs and style and with a little time you will have a great assortment!
totes are definitely cute but ONLY if you can fit your stuff in it. if not just go with a cute backpack…cuz too heavy totes send a message to everyone that you’re trying to be "in". and if you do go with a tote make sure it’s high quality
most people will tell you to get a tote because they are cuter. However, they are not the most comfortable bags to carry and can actually hurt your back. I preferred carrying a backpack all through school into college.
