Well, I’m starting high school too, this Monday, and here is what I’m bringing:
Extra cash, no more than 10 or $15. Stealing in high school is not uncommon.
School ID ( If your school has one )
Water
Little pack of tissues
If you’re a girl then sanitery napkins, just in case
House key
Map of the school
Locker combo
Class schedule
Extra gym clothes in your locker, if you have gym
And maybe keep an umbrella in your locker. You won’t really need it unless you have a trailer classroom, and even if you do a little rain can’t do much harm.

While I was in high school, I kept a large 5-subject notebook, my planner, my highlighters, and my calculator in my bag at all times, along with writing implements. My bag also had a keyring on it, so I kept my keys on there as well until I started carrying a purse. I carried an umbrella for a little while but it ultimately became more of a problem than anything else, not having anywhere to store a wet umbrella after it stopped raining. And I also realized I wasn’t some kind of wicked witch, so I wouldn’t melt if I happened to walk in the rain to one of my classes. And…I was lucky enough not to have any classes that required leaving the building after 10th grade.
This is what i keep in my backpack during the year, maybe you may want to keep them with you too,btw i keep stuff with me to entertain me when i am lucky enough to get down time:
